As a kid there was nothing better than waking up in Harwich Massachusetts, near the shores of the Atlantic Sea. We’d wake up rush into mum who’d crashed for the night having left the record player on with some of the Seeker’s tunes going. Me and my brothers would break into her room and start jumping on her bed, “Get up mummy! we want some breakfast!!!”. To which she’d scream “Go back to bed dammit!”. Relevance to this recipe? Zero. Your interest in this story? Zero. Anyway, after she swatted us off the bed, we’d run away to the kitchen to cause more mayhem, sometimes making ourselves another classic cuisine from New England, the humble Baked Beans.
